nicky's picks - week 20: STILL LIFE

I started oil painting at nine years of age and many of my first paintings were still life focussed. I can clearly remember thinking it was SO boring, but it became very clear through my continuous still life paintings that this focus taught me how to 'see' objects, light and shadows and develop the multitude of skills that I still use today.

I have LOVED seeing the interpretation of this week's theme 'still life'.
