www.facebook.com/illo52weeks

8pm Tuesday 22 November – 8pm Friday 25 November 2016

Artists are invited to list their selected Challenge artworks for SALE. A photo album will be created for each artist with the description and details for each photo in the album. There is a small admin fee to list your artwork, but no commission is taken on any sales.

Each artist will have their own Photo Album on the Challenge Community Page (example from 2015)

Buyers are invited to place a ‘bid’ on artworks once the SALE BEGINS. Bidding must be in increments of whole dollars, not cents, and prices are in Australian Dollars (AU$).

Artworks for sale MUST be from our Challenge themes: 2014/2015/2016, and must have already been posted to the Challenge Wall.

Artworks are to be sold and posted UNFRAMED. Matting is optional.

Artworks may be originals or prints (type of printing must be specified – eg: giclée or standard Officeworks prints).

All payments and postage charges will be communicated solely between the seller and the buyer. The Facebook Page is simply a place to showcase ‘artworks for sale’.

Submissions to sell must be received by midnight Sunday 13 November.

GLOSSARY

ORIGINAL artwork
The original artwork is traditionally created. It is either the original hand drawn, painted, inked, pencilled, collaged piece of work. Usually a higher end price because it is a one off original piece of art.

GICLEE print
Giclée has come to be associated with particular types of inkjet printing including processes that use fade-resistant, archival inks (pigment-based), and archival substrates primarily produced on Canon, Epson, HP and other large-format printers. They are quite expensive to produce which is why they cost more to purchase.

LIMITED EDITION print
Limited edition means that there are only a certain number of prints created. (Edition quantity decided by the artist) Usually a giclée print, it is identical to the original and signed, dated along with its edition number. Example: if the Limited Edition print is 30, then each of the prints will have 1/30, 2/30, 3/30 etc... Once this quantity has been sold, no further prints will be produced, making it second to buying an original.

ORDINARY prints (eg: Officeworks)
These prints are done on regular printers and are not guaranteed to be archival inks. They may fade over time. They are quite inexpensive to create.

DISCLAIMER

The 52-Week Illustration Challenge takes no responsibility for the sale, purchase, postage or use of artwork sold during this auction. Responsibility for all aspects of this sale remain with the Seller and Buyer. We cannot be held responsible for artwork going missing—this remains with the Seller. We regret we are unable to mediate at any time.
